McCullough Division

This division is named in honor of Don McCullough who passed away in April, 2005 at the age of 69.

Don McCullough was a co-founder of Gold Sox baseball in Marysville.

The Gold Sox ballclub has been on solid financial footing since its start in 2003 and remains so largely due to the early efforts of Don McCullough.

Marysville booster, baseball founder and auto dealer Don McCullough was a man who tirelessly gave of himself to make Yuba-Sutter a better place.

Engelken Division

This division is named in honor of the Engelken family that is an area baseball institution.

Gary Engelken, before his passing in 2001, was the long-time educator, motivator and baseball coach at Yuba College, and an inductee into both the Yuba College and Chico State Halls of Fame.

Everyone who played for him knew that it was an entire Engelken family project to make the baseball program the success that it was.

The Engelken baseball family includes Gary’s wife Judy who, in addition to baseball, had a career as an elementary school teacher, and their two now grown daughters, Elizabeth and Mary.
